HOW TO BUY A

MOBILE CLINIC

STEP 6. BUYING PROCESS

HOW TO BUY A MOBILE CLINIC

At Odulair, all of our Mobile Health Units are custom manufactured.  This means that we do not have mobile clinics in inventory ready to be sold.  We design your mobile medical clinic just for you, with your choice of materials, colors, and medical equipment. We will guide you through the entire process to make this an exciting and fun process.

As our team works with you to develop your design, you'll be presented with three documents — a 2D layout floorplan, a set of architectural renderings, and written specifications.  The drawing will help you to visualize the layout of your mobile clinic and give you the critical dimensions. The architectural renderings will provide you with life-like images of the outside and inside of your mobile hospital including all of the medical equipment and furnishings.  The specifications will provide you with detailed descriptions of the medical vehicle components.

You will be asked to sign all three in order to complete the order.  After this point, design changes will be done with a change order.

After the order is completed, here are the different steps in manufacturing your new mobile medical unit:

  1. Detailed drawings are made. These are expansions of the drawing you sign, showing all the detail that manufacturing needs to know in order to build your mobile clinic and purchasing needs to secure materials. (4-6 weeks)
  2. The manufacturing of sub-assemblies like axle sub frame, expandable side mechanisms and doors begin. Start of first assembly begins at the earliest available start date or as soon as parts and drawings are available whichever is later. Structure is completed. (3-6 weeks)
  3. Interior build out begins. Interior is completed. (4-8 weeks)
  4. Medical equipment is installed. (1 - 4 weeks)
  5. Paint and graphics are applied. (1-2 weeks)
  6. Final quality audit and cleaning. (1-3 weeks)
  7. Ready for delivery. (Typical total 26 weeks)

Note: Schedule and timing of each step varies by material and equipment availability as well as availability in the manufacturing facility. But we'll work with you closely to ensure your Mobile Health Clinic meets your schedule and expedite processes as needed.

MOBILE CLINIC BUDGET

We always get the question, 'What does a mobile clinic cost?'. The simple answer: It depends. In order to determine a specific price, a specific design must be determined. If you need to establish a budget before a specific design is finalized, you can start with a budgetary estimate.

An estimate is an expectation made before the final design is known based on information provided and from past experience from similar projects. If the actual final design differs from the initial information and expectations, then the actual price could also vary proportionately, but it's a starting point. This differs from a quote, which is an offer made to build a specific design for a specific price once the final design is known. It is documented by a drawing and/or written specifications.

If you don't know where to start when it comes to budget, browse through the website and collateral and find a mobile clinic that looks similar to what you're envisioning. The sales team can then provide a rough estimate of what that mobile clinic cost and this may help to determine if you're in the right range and which type of Odulair Mobile Clinic is your best solution.
